My bf%26#039;s favorite sandals is this one brown sandal with this rainbow logo in the middle of the sandal, where the strap goes between the big toe and the rest of the toes. It%26#039;s leather and supposedly really comfy. I need help with gladiator sandals!?

Without knowing the type of work you do, I can only guess that you are not a lifeguard. In my profession (engineering) these would be considered very un-professional to wear.
Meanwhile, sandals are more dressy. Sandals, especially women%26#039;s, can be dressier than regular shoes.

How to clean and disinfect sport sandals?
I have a pair of Keen sport sandals with a rubbery sole and canvas and fake-leather straps. After wearing them around on hot days and sweating in them, they are a bit funky. Washing them in mild soap makes the funk go away for about a day. Anyone have a recommendation for some kind of disinfecting solution I could soak them in that won%26#039;t discolor the fabrics? (i.e., bleach is out of the question).

How did you give up leather?
I decided to become vegan, but several things I have are leather... such as my car seats, my rainbow sandals, many of my shoes...
Would I not be a bad vegan if I kept these, but did not buy anything leather from now on? How did you deal with these things wen becoming vegan?

I buy my shoes from http://www.vegetarian-shoes.co.uk/ and ordered my car without leather - i had to have seats custom made. Its not difficult at all to skip leather.
You could choose to wear out the leather you%26#039;ve got and not buy more. but be prepared to answer questions when people see you wearing leather and claiming to be vegan ( don%26#039;t now why you should have to justify yourself - thats just the way of some people )
You could also sell you stuff. The way to look at that might be that buy selling leather shoes or coat you are reducing another sale of new leather shoes or a coat that the person may otherwise have bought. Therefore you would be reducing leather consumption - you might feel that%26#039;s the best thing to do.

As for the car, you obviously can%26#039;t get rid of that easily and affordably. It really comes down to what you%26#039;re comfy with. Although, I didn%26#039;t mean to she felt bad after I talked to her about it. I was not happy when we went looking for a car and found it to contain leather on the gear shifter. Though, I really didn%26#039;t have much choice in the matter because we drove it off the lot the same day. I used to think that leather smelled soooo good but now I am disgusted knowing what I know. As for shoes, I only buy shoes made of %26quot;man-made%26quot; materials. I read the labels on everything! If I have a choice I don%26#039;t buy it and am proud of my beliefs.

How can I clean stinky, expensive sandals?
I have sweaty feet, and now the leather footbed of my expensive sandals (Wolky) -- $140 for crying out loud -- reeks. I%26#039;ve tried soap and water, rubbing alcohol, even the enzyme cleaner I use to clean my dog%26#039;s accidents. What to do about this annual sandal problem?? Is there ANYTHING that can get rid of that smell? I don%26#039;t want to throw away pair after pair of expensive sandals!!
How can I clean stinky, expensive sandals?
Sunning it may work wonders. Also, they say that acid (like vinegar) will neutralize the smell. OTOH, they say baking soda will also neutralize the smell.
Take a couple of old socks, fill them with baking soda, and tie them off. (You could also try dry coffee grounds or dry tea leaves.) Sun your shoes if you can after every use, and then store them with the soda socks in your sandals to absorb any other odors. DO NOT wear your sandals two days in a row. If you want to wear them everyday, you should buy two pairs of sandals, and alternate days.
Before you put your sandals on, be sure you have clean, fresh feet. Give %26#039;em a vinegar bath, and dab on some tea tree oil or lavender oil (test first to make sure you aren%26#039;t sensitive to them, but generally, they are very mild oils). How can I clean stinky, expensive sandals?
Sunning it may work wonders. Also, they say that acid (like vinegar) will neutralize the smell. OTOH, they say baking soda will also neutralize the smell.
Take a couple of old socks, fill them with baking soda, and tie them off. (You could also try dry coffee grounds or dry tea leaves.) Sun your shoes if you can after every use, and then store them with the soda socks in your sandals to absorb any other odors. DO NOT wear your sandals two days in a row. If you want to wear them everyday, you should buy two pairs of sandals, and alternate days.
Before you put your sandals on, be sure you have clean, fresh feet. Give %26#039;em a vinegar bath, and dab on some tea tree oil or lavender oil (test first to make sure you aren%26#039;t sensitive to them, but generally, they are very mild oils). First of yes I do have fettish for this and won%26#039;t deny it. I have noticed a lot of mexican guys like wearing jeans with sandals esp. the brown leather type and it looks so hot. Is this a comfort only thing for them or do the have foot fettish? or is it part of their culture??

I think that the Rainbow sandles are much cuter than the other pair. But if you are choosing comfort over looks, I would get the Nike sandles instead.

I use these at the beach so they do get wet and may be mildewy. I%26#039;ve tried soaking them in boiling water with bleach and soap, with no good results. The sandals are not leather---they%26#039;re mostly synthetic/rubber, I think. Thanks!

pink or apple! a lot of people have the tan and dark brown ones.. but white looks good with tan skin!

I like the thick straps better because they feel better to me, no threat of them digging into your feet, but again that%26#039;s a personal preference.
Hemp is obviously made of hemp and leather out of leather. It just depends which you prefer. I have the regular ones because I wear them to the beach and they get wet and thrown around.
And, if they are using real Swarovski crystals that would explain the price. Those are the highest quality (Jimmy Choo uses them) and can be quite expensive.
I would try to go somewhere to try on their sandals just to get a feel for what you like. But, if you can%26#039;t they make returns very easy.

5) hemp and premium leather.. although leathers are a little bit more expensive-i recommend those over the hemp. the difference is the texture of the soles. the hemp is kind of grassy--not as smooth as the leather.
6)the ones with the crystals are actually pretty new. i guess crystals are more expensive to put on the shoes.. who knows? :P
